Robert Alter on Pen of Iron - Between the Covers - National Review Online: "- A radio interview with Bible translator Robert Alter"
Robert Alter is a Hebrew scholar of such note that even though he only has translated a half dozen books of the Hebrew scriptures, has been delighting readers of the scriptures and garnered well deserved praise.
He's writing about the influence of the KJV in the literature of the USA; just in time for the 400th anniversary of the 1611 version of the KJV. Since Trinitarians have so much trouble with numbers (1=3 and all that) I should point out that the anniversary occurs in 2011. 1611+400=2011. If that teach something different in your church, just take my word for it. So have you been gearing up for the wild parties?! Think of all the sermons!! Long readings of "Thus" this and "Thus" that! I can't wait!
