I find it fascinating that Paul argues from the Genesis account that men should lead. Why? Because he says that the woman was tricked by the serpent, but the man knew better and ate anyway:
1Ti 2:
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
They both ate, but she was fooled into it, while the man was led, fully aware of what he was doing. This makes him a better teacher and ruler? The implication here is that females are easily misled, and no amount of Bible study or Holy Ghost indwelling will change that, while men are constitutionally harder to fool. Summary: "Women are fools - always were, always will be - and thus men should lead and rule over them."
Works for me!

Doesn't say that to me!
Funny how in a court of law, if the accused is "tricked" or does something unintentionally or in a fit of passion, the penalty is never as severe as when one deliberately and consciously violates the law. I think the deciding factor here is maleness. The judge and the jury were male; therefore, the female is more guilty, somehow more to blame. Eve is the first scapegoat.
The Juris Prudence here is very complicated...
That is, "blame" actually falls to Adam, at least in Paul's writings, such that it seems the woman's actions were inconsequential:
Ro 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all...sinned:
So a man is culpable for his actions while a woman, ignorant as she is, is just not fit for leadership. Men are bad, women are stooopid.
But, the woman was obviously also held accountable, because why else would she have labor pains giving birth?
Gen 3:
16 ¶ Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
17 ¶ And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
And holiness ensures her survival of giving birth:
1 Tim 2:
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in [literally, "through"] childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
